Fletcher Van Gilder works with attorneys and health care professionals on a variety of ethics and licensing matters. We represent attorneys in responding to disciplinary complaints, in disciplinary proceedings brought by the Supreme Court Disciplinary Commission, and with reinstatement efforts. We can also provide private opinion letters to attorneys looking for advice on particular ethical subjects, such as fee sharing, conflicts of interests, advertising issues and unauthorized practice of law.
Fletcher Van Gilder also works with healthcare professionals on complaints brought by the Professional Licensing Agency and investigations by the Attorney General’s office. We help clients respond to complaints, gather evidence, communicate with investigators and defend formal administrative charges. We attend “personal appearances” with clients before different medical boards, hearings on administrative charges, and “show cause” hearings after disciplinary action has been taken. We also assist clients coming off probation or suspension.
